I'm finally cool

My quasi-celebrity status is paying off tonight; my son now thinks I'm "cool"...I get to throw out the first pitch at the Mallards game.
He is not impressed that I am on the radio--I've always been on the radio, he knows no different. He doesn't remember a lot of other events, like when I was the guest ringmaster for the circus or all the great concerts he's been too (James Brown and Booker T and the MG's, just to name a few).
He loves baseball, though, and he loves Star Wars. Putting those two things together tonight is like magic in a bottle for the boy. The Star Wars connection is the actor who played General Grievous will be at tonight's game.
So, tonight I shall bask in the glow of the cool factor and hope I don't bounce that thing in the dirt.
