When I heard that Paul McCartney was only paid one Britsh pound for his performance at the Olympics, it obviously seemed like a tax thing. They had to pay him something, so they just make it a $1.57 transaction to keep everything legal on the books.
That's fine. I'm sure he would have done it for free if lawyers were not involved.
