First I have to work in this line, in case I forget......You should see the sparks fly from my knife and fork when I'm eating!
Just back from lunch in Oregon. My first trip to Oregon. Nice. I ate at DeBroux's Diner. Very nice.
DeBroux's is right on Main Street, in a historic beautiful building that once was a pharmacy, a general store, and ready? a funeral home. Cool. DeBroux's Diner is locally owned and operated and is a great find.
Shout out to our wait staff. Becky and Jody. I'm so needy I get two people to answer questions and bring me my lunch.
My appetizer course was an easy pick. Roasted Butternut Squash Soup. Excellent. And an excellent touch with the toasted pumpkin seeds! I love how creative chefs are.
Next Macaroni and Cheese. Just a run of the mill, plain ole Mac and Cheese? No way. Excellent spin on a great comfort food, with 3 cheeses, ham, peppers and bread crumbs.
Okay, so normally I don't eat 3 courses for lunch, but hey it's Restaurant Week. It's my job. So I ordered teh Door County Cherry Macaroons. Coconut, cherries, and chocolate. What's not to love.
This is the first time for DeBroux's Diner for Restaurant Week. Hopefully not the last.
Highly recommended.
Now I have to figure out how to post the picture I took.
