Madison Magazine Restaurant Week is this week. What a concept. Try all different restaurants, some you’re discovering. Some you’re returning to. Lunch. Dinner. You pick. Yesterday was a cold day. Frigid.
But at lunch yesterday I stepped into HotelRED, and warmed up right away. Love the urban look. The Wise restaurant and bar stretch the length of the lobby, instead of a separate closed off room. Love it. Love the colors. The setting. The staff there to look after you.
Channel 27 Meteorologist Brain Olson joined me and we had a great conversation, along with a great lunch. 3 courses for lunch. 3 choices for each course. $15. Gotta love it. Loved the spiced butternut squash soup! And the sandwich.

Madison Restaurant Week is now through Friday. Starting at $25, participating restaurants offer a prix-fixed menu with 3 courses and 3 options of each course. Some restaurants offer a reduced menu for $15 for lunch. This year, some restaurants are also offering $30 and $35 dinner options. No passes, tickets or coupons are required. Diners may simply visit their favorite participating restaurants throughout the week to enjoy the special menus. Diners are strongly recommended to make reservations in advance.
