Is there a better decade for music than the 70s? I think not.

The Brain Strain

The Day The Music Died

Don McLean sang about it in American Pie.  The Day the Music Died.  February 3rd, 1959.  Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper all died in a small plane crash in Iowa.  The tour they were on was called The Winter Dance Party.

For my money, this music sounds great.  Talk about the test of time.  A fun era of music, whether it's your era or not.

This Saturday night at 8pm, at the Barrymore Theatre, Express Productions presents The Day The Music Died.  Featuring Mark Shurilla and The Greatest Hits.  The music of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper plus Johnny Cash, Elvis and the female stars of the 50's and 60's.  A great night of entertainment that I hope you'll attend.  Lucky me, I get to be the emcee.
