Dana's Bio
I was born and raised in Waukesha, WI, and I attended college at UW-Madison. I started college in Pre-Pharmacy, but I graduated with a Communications degree. I would be making a lot more money as a pharmacist, but I wouldn't be enjoying what I do as much as I enjoy being in radio.
I went back to the Milwaukee area after college, but the radio station that I worked for no longer exists. Before coming to WOLX, I lived in Illinois for about a year and worked at a suburban Chicago radio station. I am VERY happy to be back home in Wisconsin!
I really enjoy many different styles of music, but I can't imagine being without the music of The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Elvis, The Supremes, Simon & Garfunkel, The Mamas and Papas......too many favorites to name!
Other than music, I like to downhill ski, play softball and volleyball, do jigsaw puzzles, and I'm trying to teach myself how to play the guitar. I am a HUGE Green Bay Packer fan, although I own no wearable cheese products. I am also interested in alternative forms of healing. I do Reiki, which is an ancient form of Japanese healing.
I really like working for WOLX. Thank you to everyone for welcoming me back to Madison!
